A monetary policy central banks use to stimulate the economy when standard solutions have become ineffective. QE involves the central bank's purchase of government bonds or other securities, which increases the money supply and lowers interest rates. This, in turn, encourages borrowing and spending and can lead to increased economic activity and inflation. -
